Hi,

been very happy with my 273xxxx M6ttl and my selection of lenses until yesterday when I noticed a problem.

Problem 1: Light meter display diodes turn off when I put the speed dial to "4" (quarter of a second). Matter of fact, It acts at "4" exactly like it's at "B".
Problem 2: When the dial is at "2", the diodes light up, but measure like it is at "1000"- i.e. the dot for correct exposure lights up at the same aperture and situation as on one-thousandth of a second.

The meter at all other shutter speed positions is OK.

Any idea? Maybe the encoding contacts under the wheel? Maybe the meter "chip" gone wrong? Any DIY solution because I really dont want to part with my camera, especailly because this is not a big problem really.

Thanks a lot

Too funny.

Too funny.

I pulled up this thread from the "Leica breakages index" and thought "Cool" I have exactly the same problem with a M6TTL I just recieved from KEH!

Unfortunately, based on the serial #, I'm pretty sure what I actually have is exactly the same camera. :bang:

No worries, it's within the 14 day no-hassle return. I'll be calling them for an exchange, I'm sure it'll all work out.
