Hi!

Finally, the sun has come out and that gave me the opportunity today to test my recently by Will van Manen cleaned Summarit LTM 1.5/50 in sunny situations (and in some shops) for candid street photography. I'm stunned by the quality of this old glass. As a sunshade, I used an Olympus 41-43 lens adapter tube, because the original one is hard to come by and on top of that very expensive.

Here are four shots, all with f2 or f2.8.

Best regards Johan

That doesn't look like "wrong color" to me; it looks like yellow light from a tent or tarp falling on her face.

Nice set of photos- looks like you've got a winner! I've got a '51 35/3.5 Summaron that I use with my M8 and I love it, too.

Walz made shades and filters to fit Summarits way back when, I scored both on fleabay a while back after getting tired of the prices of OEM stuff.

I can see only 1 shot of a little girl; but it looks to me like the point of best focus is her right mitten. So I'd conclude the opposite from Jaap. But with large-aperture lenses, I often can't focus more sharply than this!

Thanks all for the comments. I removed some shots which I considered not up to standard, sorry about that.
@jaapv: my focussing was not correct; I sometimes back- and sometimes frontfocussed. It's tough, but I'm making progress, see below.
@cle-rf: sure, Luxembourg is a shopping- but also a photographer's paradise. Contact me when you know when you're coming.

Here are two more shots with the 1951 Summarit 1.5/50. The originals are not very contrasty, but a little post-processing leads to very nice results anyway!

Happy shooting!
