leica M9 lost/stolen in madrid

hello all, today 5th april 2010 I lost or got my beloved black M9 stolen in madrid.
serial no 3811268
also it had a 35mm 1.4 (not asph) in it: serial 3570157

Man, this is quite a loss, I hope your insurance covers it. It should turn up somewhere for sale soon. Ebay Spain has a section for regular advertisements pointing at the local market, not so much the international. It might pop up there someday soon.
 
Thats terrible,I live here in Spain so I check the local ebay etc. quite regularly,if anything turns up Ill let you know.
 
Big time bummer! Let us know if you have any luck getting it back aside from members in RFF looking out for it.
 
That is a terrible loss ... I'm so sorry !!
Make sure you inform Leica Solms. They have a database full of serial numbers of stolen Leica gear.
Sooner or later someone will have to send it in for a CLA or repair and then you should be able to recover it.
 
Guy probably thought it was an M8.

More seriously, reminds me of why I pay $50 a month in insurance, hope you told the local authorities there would be a reward.
