Hi!
Is there any particular problems with this combo? I just bought second hand 50mm summilux pre-asph latest model with the built in hood. I seems that it does not focus to infinity and there is a gap from closest focus to 0.7m.
My M6 RF patch does not move at all in that gap.

Hi, I'm using the same combination and I don't seem to face the problems you mentioned.

Something wrong with either camera or lens. You have any other lens ?

I have been using the body for a few years now without a problem.
Other lenses seem to focus just fine.
I think it has been used with M8 because there is light traces of 6-bit coding with a marker left...

Then there is something wrong with the lens. Sounds like somebody assembled it wrong.
Sorry.
Sorry.

Not to worry, I bought it from a store and it has 3 months warranty.
I will contact the store tomorrow.

Just to some facts before I contact the seller;
Is it normal that the summilux lens focus does _not_ stop at 0.7m?
Normally my all other lenses stop at the closest focus point and don't go any further.

A little bit more than 0.7m is OK. But that, together with the infinity misalignment seems too much. Seems like cam and focusing helical are misaligned.

Ok. Thanks for the info!
