For those of us based in the US, Costco has a good deal on the Olympus E-P1. The deal is valid on their web site from 4/15 to 5/9.
They are offering an instant saving of $100 on the E-P1 with 14-42 zoom bringing down the price to a tempting $599.99

I know that some are non-plussed by the changes to the control systems on the new e-pl1, but for that price you get the e-pl1 which has a nominal pop-up flash and the port for the EVF if you decide to add that.
I'm opting for the e-pl1 to try it without the EVF. I at least want the option to get the EVF. I don't understand the fuss over using menu's vs. control wheels. That may be because I tend to be pretty static on settings, and I don't use my camera's for fast action shots or in situation that require constant fiddling with settings.

I've owned and used E-P1 and G1, and with E-PL1 now. And I do not miss the dials one bit.
That costco deal sounds pretty good (Thanks for sharing! I'll let my friends know.), but I'd still go for E-PL1 if I were to get one today.

Earlier this week it was as low as $519 for body only on Amazon, fulfilled by different folks Hhcost and Willoughbys, for example. There's a used one on getdpi classifieds for $499 or so.
I'd be wary of an EP-1, because there are rumors that the sensor technology (mainly aa filter) on even the EPL1 has already surpassed the EP-2... Technology moves so fast ...

Might be time to jump on an EP-1 with the 17mm and viewfinder. Don't want a flash or EVF but would like a 35mm equivalent and a real viewfinder.

I just bought one off ebay for $449, new with zoom and 4GB card... got another 10% off signing up for BillMeLater when I paid... that is the whole kit new for $405 delivered!!!!! Had to go for that!!! I have a FedEX confirmation number... can't wait to get it... also, ordered a Pentax 110 adaptor and M39 adaptor...
