POLL: What COLOR Films do you use?

I shoot Portra 400 VC when I shoot color, which is rarely, but it is so expensive.

Superia 1600 for low light colour shooting. Kodak Gold for throwaway stuff (camera/lens testing.) Ektar 100 if it's going to be sunny

Like some others mentioned, I stock up on Walgreens 200 when on sale, 400 as well. (So Fuji). I buy Portra NC and Ektar100 mostly, and like their color palette.

I've been shooting a lot with Fuji Superia films, and I like it, but lately I seem to be drawn by the delicate tones of Portra NC. The only thing, it seems to be one of the most expensive negative color film on Earth! more than double the cost of cheap X-Tra 400 Fuji film...

I think E100G is now my favorite color film.. after having had nothing but terrible results from Fuji slides (ok maybe except for Sensia 200), I tried E100G and prepared for the worst. Imagine my surprise when I got back the nicest color roll I ever shot.. maybe it was because I used a different lens, or that my exposures were more bang on, but I had none of the earlier pains (blue tones, excessive vignetting, way too dark scans).
I have to try it more often in different circumstances, but hopefully it will keep delivering 🙂

I walked into my camera store & bought some Ektar 100. They had some Kodak 100 ultra color. The sales clerk sold it to me at a price I couldn't refuse, 3 dollars a roll. I'm shooting a roll of Reala 100 right now & look forward to a comparison in the 3 films.

Fujifilm Pro 160s and 800Z, but I was not impressed with the 800Z. The 160s is a winner and I'll be shooting much more of that in the future!

I used Kodak Portra 400VC recently for a photography project and the colours came out beautifully, especially the ones on my Leica 😀

for usual snapshots, I use Fuji Superia 400 and if I had to use slide film, it would be Fuji Provia.

Agreed I just sold my 800Z after very disappointing 'blotchy' color ...

It's not in the list, but I really do quite like Fuji Sensia 200 as an all-around cheap(ish) slide film.

I used to use Kodak Elite Chrome for both 35mm and 120, but I switched over to Portra (my current favorite color film). I'll also use Fuji Pro H, but it's not my favorite.
