Seeing that photo of the ash-covered cars running-up the ash-covered road, kicking-up huge plumes of ash made me think of the no-fly ban; I know MANY folks have been inconvenienced, and have accused European authorities of "over-reacting"...
But I think it better to over-react, erring on the side of safety than "testing the air" with planes full of people...
I have always been fascinted with both volacnoes and lightning since I was a kid; would love to see something like this first hand... definitely worthy of the last days of Kodachrome !
