Is this one teh best Leica M?

holy molly ! this is real best classic + advance techno Leica ever made

now, someone can make a Leica M film with digital module ? LOL

What would be an argument, to go for this camera instead of a 0.72 MP 2003 other than having an oddball with historic base and boxes?

Don't want to argue for or against it - just interested in the technical differences?

Nice, someone on here made a couple of these FrankenLeica's. Looks like it's an M6 conversion with M2 top plate and controls. If I ever find a Very cheap user M6 I might have a go at this. Main difference I would have thought would be the transfer of the winding head onto the m6 body.

Does it look like the VFer window was enlarged to see the 28mm framelines?

I've been discussing something similar with DAG, but with M3 top. To see the 28mm framelines he thinks the VFer window would have to be enlarged. I would have longer than 50mm framelines masked off.

I see no point unless you had M2 and M6 parts and couldn't make a whole camera out of one or the other.

Well, you can trust the seller- Tony at Popflash is first rate.

The price with the Leicavit is certainly as good as any MP you will find. Personally, I like the manual film counter of the M2. This is a unique camera.

As I remember, it is one of our members who had this done. It's an M6 with M2 part's. DAG did the conversion. Can't remember the owners name, but saw pics of it before. I'm sure someone will chime in.

I saw several friends who have converted M (Outside is M2/M/3 with inside is M6)
The most interseting converted M is M3 with lightmeter. Finder is 0.91, not 0.72.
I also want to change like this; but, mechanic refuse to do due to its complicated work.
(Actually he forgot how he did.).
