Granted these pics were taken eons ago, but nevertheless it was such an interesting period for me, I was one of the few lucky photographers who got paid to travel around the world and taking pics (this was pre -global financial crisis) and I was supplemented with the latest n greatest N**** DSLRS at my disposal.
But funny thing happened I picked up a hexar rf kit and decided will stick with it, just the body, 50mm hexanon and bunch of slide films, purely for my personal pleasures, shot between the DSLRS or as an intermezzo between assignments, I feel relieved, relaxed, I guess there's the truth that rangefinder won't make you a better photographer but it certainly changes the way you shoot.
So let's start with Italy.... one of my fave countries...

Thank you Helen, that's so true, sometimes I think that's all you need or lacking the 50 perhaps a 35

I like the ones in subdued light better. Harsh light and shadows don't do it for me.
Funny: never knew the Hexar RF also had a 'notch' on the frame window, with the AF it's triangular, with the RF it's round.

thank you for the kind words guys, yes hexar makes a 'notch' on the exposed film, kind of cool I think, just like the hassy

Great pictures!
I compared my proof sheets with films from both cameras: The RF's notch is on the left, the AF's notch on the right hand side of the picture. Very easy to tell apart. Thanks for pointing me to this info!

Just for the record I don't own the hexar rf kit anymore, now it's in good hand of my fellow photographer to continue its journey.
When I purchased the camera it was in condition of 'very like new' heck I will call it "NOS" because it was so pristine not even the warranty card is filled but when I'm 'finished' it lost its rubber eye cup, plenty of scratches, peeled black paints, call it battle scars if you will
The funny thing was on the second year in my hand it developed the (in)famous rangefinder shifting (to the right in my case) but it fixed itself when I accidentally dropped it on the rug covered floor of a bar in Alaska. Now you know the cheap way to fix it

Mostly Kodak elitechrome, where I can find them easily in almost anywhere, once in Turkey I bought the whole left over stock for 1 euro per roll because they were cleaning all the film stocks (they're going completely digital) I ended up with hundreds of rolls that lasted me a whole summer.
In Asia, I used a lot of Fuji, Velvia mostly I think and I was lucky again as a prominent underwater pro photog in Hong Kong gave me all his Velvia stocks from his freezer as he's going completely digital and found out my little personal project.

so many good photos its hard to pick favorite. am planning (or dreaming) such a trip, not getting paid for it though.. how many stops were there and how long trip lasted ?
