I recently bought an Olympus XA off of ebay and was wondering one thing. When I open the sliding door to reveal the lens, this door does not have a satisfying click, is kind of loose, and will close very easily. Is this normal for these cameras or did I just get a well used version? I'm not stressed about it since it was dirt cheap, but for me it is the difference between it being usable and not being usable.

It should click and stay open unless purposefully closed. I say you should use some duct tape to hold it open!

Mine clicks audibly, but is not terribly difficult to close.
Thanks all. I'll just buy another one and give this one to a friend. These are so cheap thankfully.

I know it is a bit shallow to say, but the using duct tape is not an option. I'll just find a proper example.

Mine was the same when it came from eBay - I bought a dedicated n=light sealing kit and changed the light seals. Now it has very positive feeling when closing.
Accidentally my XA is listed in the classifieds right now ...

There is a tiny metal roller underneath the cover on the top of the XA. There is a spring under it, and I'm pretty sure this clicks into place in a slot cut out on the underside of the cover. Your XA is probably missing that.
