I will say buy them while you can, price had be going up really quick in the passed 2 years. Especially at this end, due to the folks from Mainland China causing a great demand.

Summarons are not numbered in that range, and even then it would still be no loss!

Hello, i also have a summicron 2330--- made in Germany and mine is a type 2 with the tap on the aperture ring and all that. I paid €600 for it, so your deal is a better one but if the value of the euro keeps decreasing mine will end up cheaper than yours
. I also heard claims these Wetzlar made summicrons are quite rare because most of them were made in Canada. I have seen a mint sample on an website of a camera shop for €1300, it isn't on their site anymore so they must have sold it. But mine impression is that these Wetzlar samples pop up quite regularly,
but that's just me.

Yep, prices for very clean type II is about Euro 600 these days. So you can't go wrong. Btw 2330xxx is type II.
