Are both companies' sales of new film cameras in recent years available?

Just curious to see reality and tendencies...

Leica reports sales by product line. The lowest level in that breakdown is "system cameras", which includes digital.

Voigtlander has no financial report on their website, which indicates it is a private company ie not listed.

At least with Leica this data is not published every year as these are sales/industrial secrets. No company that I know of would provide its competition with inside information. Again, with Leica, specific sales info is generally shared about a decade later.

EDIT: Due to competition financial reports generally report gross numbers, not by specific model.

OK... Maybe in a few years we will be able to see Voigtländer's sales evolution compared to Leica's during Voigt's first 10 years... I'm just curious...

Many of us want this data! Leica had a very slow beginning because cameras were not its business. I suspect VC's first years will evolve quickly as there is a large inventory of RF cameras and sells at a great price point; Leica did not have this advantage having to invent 35mm photography!
