Darkhorse
pointed and shot
I'm back from my honeymoon in Kaua'i, AKA Jurassic Park. It was wonderful, relaxing, and awe-inspiring. Truly paradise on earth. It would be perfect if it wasn't for the mosquitoes.
As I mentioned in a previous thread, I didn't want to lug around an SLR and a bunch of lenses. I wanted to be versatile and compact, hence the s90 was a given. However I did take some recommendations from the thread concerning filter attachments (the polarizer did come in handy), and I also bought the underwater housing because I thought I would need it (and boy did I!).
I only took about 850 photos, here are about 40. There's so much to say about these photos - about the various lighting conditions, the problems of using the camera in different environments, trying to make sure I had the right settings, having opportunities, missing opportunities, making sure I spend more time with my new wife than my s90 etc. All in all I'm happy with how it performed, and I have a lot of wonderful memories captured.
My lovely wife.

Waimea Canyon drive...
Kauai's prolific wild chickens
A view of the Na Pali coast... you can see a boat waaay down there.
Na Pali coast from the boat's perspective...
Auto settings didn't do too badly here
First time in the water. I had had the camera in the housing for the entire catamaran ride in case it got wet or dropped. It's fun to use in the water, albeit exceptionally tricky.
