I have been seriously involved with photography for more than 40 years. I have never seen a neck strap that looks like that. Could you please post a picture of you, or someone else wearing your camera around your neck with that strap? Thanks in advance. Don't hurt yourself.

I've never been seriously into photography, but I'm pretty sure that's a hand strap. But hey, I'm a newb, I'm probably wrong.

I'm currently using an Artisan & Artist fabric strap. It does it's job, but I'm finding it a bit too short.
Looking to get a Roberu leather strap to replace it. If only they would ship outside of Japan...

I use the sling on my Hexar RF and CLE. I like it a lot. They are very secure and I find it a comfortable way to carry. Hexar a tad on the heavy side if you are carrying all day with the finger sling.
As far as neck straps, I like to carry the camera at my side, under the arm, with the strap over my opposite shoulder (like a satchel). Thus my neck straps must slide. I favor the slick neoprene kind. The stretchiness also helps make it easy to pull the camera up to shoot.

Got mine from Hong Kong a couple of years ago - not as flexible as I'd like, but in time it'll work out. At least it didn't cost me what a Luigi's would.

I have a Leicagoodies Sling that another RFF member sent me a few months ago. It was REALLY difficult to install because the material is so thick that getting the split ring into the strap lug over it is hard. Once installed, it worked great! I like it.

I have the Sling on my M9. It works, but carrying a relatively heavy camera by your fingers gets painful fairly quickly. I install a Markins QR plate and one of their leather hand straps on all my DSLRs, but haven't done so on my Ms yet, and I don't know that it would work with the low position of the strap lugs and the fact the shutter release is not mounted forward as on SLRs. I wish Leica had a M5 style lug arrangement on their bodies. As for the shoulder strap, I just use the Leica standard one with a Leicagoodies HOOK.

I wish I still had my Artisan&Artist cord strap, I thought it was a good idea to sell it. Not the first time I've been wrong. Now I'm using one of Gordy's hand lug strap thingies. And let me tell you, those are not bad! The leather has to wear in a bit, but I'm already enjoying mine very much. Will post a picture in a bit.
On a sidenote: Can anyone recommend a shoulder-type strap that will support a 6x7 SLR? preferably something wide…

I have tried a few straps including Luigi's, but I am very happy with my leather A&A straps, though the most comfortable strap is their silk rope strap. If I buy another strap, it will be another A&A silk rope strap.

In the vein of wrist straps, here's a budget solution:
For about $3, adjustable for size, available in many colors,
it's sold in discount and grocery stores as a small pet collar.

You need to add a split ring to it's D ring. For even better
results, relace the original D ring with a split ring.
