It's about two days ago some questions were asked in the sticky about the timeframe for voting, but no reaction from anybody ? The number of votes is very low until now. What are we going to do ? Is Kyle still around ?

It sounded to me like Kyle sadly won't have much time to guide the proceedings.

I suggest we vote in a dedicated thread, after we agree on the remaining procedural questions. I'm not sure the votes already in the gallery were all posted with the contest in mind (certainly a few of the pictures in the gallery don't seem to belong there) so maybe we should disregard them and start over?

So, who wants one vote per subject category? (Agriculture, industry, military) I never thought that was the idea, but hey, we can do this any way we agree.

Myself, I'm leaning towards one vote per person. We'd have one overall winner and maybe we could call the two others that come out best in a category (but not overall) "honorable mentions."

Just my suggestions.

I'm surprised how little votes there are... I would of thought at least the people who contributed would have voted?

I like batterytypehah!'s suggestion...
I'm happy with 1 vote per person - I originally thought it was per category, but 1 makes sense to me!

I'm happy to vote when I have a moment. So let me see if I got this right. The contest had three possible themes. The voting gallery contains pictures from all three themes, all mixed together in the same gallery. I vote for my one favorite picture in the gallery. Is that right?

If not, please advise.

Thanks,

Warren

Let's agree that voting is possible until ... say... Saturday 19th until Midnight, whatever timezone you are in ?

Anyway, I just voted.

Stefan.

I know. I have failed you, I have failed me and I have failed the community. And I didn't even take photos of it. With my FSU.

you need some serious rehabilitation.

Some votes are urgently needed otherwise it is looking like a draw [ i think a draw is actually a `win' in the US] newspaper headline ~ USA WIN 1-1

I voted but some people have not even voted for their own work ...odd

You're not allowed to vote on your own work, well at least with the same user as you posted. That seems to be the only thing working in this contest. I wouldn't vote on anyone else's, that defeats the purpose.

As for the contest, looks like it can be just as flaky as our cameras, goes hand-in-hand if you ask me...:p

Hm.

I signed up but did not enter, I ran out of time and suitable subjects

Can I still vote? Pretty please?

Ah ? I didn't know voting was limited to participants ? I would think anyone can vote, but only once, and it seems fair play not to vote for your own pictures, and not under several login names, BUT, I don't make the rules here

I thought we would vote on one each from the three categories for a total of three votes. but with them mixed up like that, the page only allowed me to vote once, when I chose one for "industry." It would not allow me to pick pics for agriculture and military. Aieeeeeeee!
