I have a great little Minox 35GT and after finishing a film today, I rewound it and removed the film for processing.

As I went to replace the back of the camera, I noticed a slight bulge near to the viewfinder at the back of the camera (left-hand side as you look at the back) and removed the back again for closer investigation.

It's difficult to see up into the gap between the upper body casing and the guts of the interior but it looks like there may be a small lever causing the case to bulge out. I was viewing with the body upside down if that makes more sense.

Anyone know what may have happened here...? Is my 35GT doomed...?

:bang:

I can't quite picture what you're describing. There's a little tab on the right that resets the frame counter when you take the back off.

Mine is a 35GL but I don't think that makes a difference for this.

Hi BTH - I also have a 35ML and my GT doesn't look right when I compare them.

If you take off the back, tip the body upside down and look into the gap right below the rear viewfinder - my bodyshell is sticking out slightly just to the left of the rear viewfinder and there seems to be something causing it...?

I looked at my GT and the back fits completely flush. There seems to be nothing in the way when I have the back off. The only thing I see it the tiny tab that resets the counter to the right of the viewfinder window (between the window and film wind lever).
