I have a mix of equipment between my Bessa, M3, and IIIf and I don't like having to buy more viewfinders if I don't have to...
Wonder if anyone else has tried this? 😀
Thinking of picking up a 40/2 M-Rokkor to use on my M3 and Bessa (the R3M I have has the lines already... phew). Have a VIOOH finder that I usually use with my IIIf. The non-linear scale on that is click-stopped at 35, 50, 85, 90, and 135. Judging from the scale of the markings, the 40 would probably be halfway between the 35 and 50 (not 1/3 of the way from 35 to 50).
Has anyone else tried this? Should probably run a test once I get the 40. Take some pictures with the M3, make some notes on what I saw in the viewfinder frame at what I'm guesstimating to be 40, and compare the results.
Interesting thought though ...
