Hello to all pros out there,

Currently I am using a soviet era rangefinder which is FED 5,
but i am thinking of selling it to upgrade to a bessa R2a/m or R4a/m.

The reason why i didnt include R3 in is because, I am wear glasses so it is difficult for me view the grids.

I would like to ask what is the difference between a and m?
I know that A is aperture priority and M is manual but does A has manual functions too like for example change the shutter speed?

and I would like to end off by asking which R2 or R4 will you guys recommend me :D ~

haha thanks and cheers!

A = electronic shutter, battery dependent, auto option as well as all manual speeds

M = manual only, fully mechanical, if the battery dies you still have a functioning camera.

R4 has a VERY short effective base length, inadequate for focusing fast or long lenses, but is great wth wide-angles.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

R.
