My M4-P is getting a CLA right now at DAG so it will be perfect when it retuns.

My M8 is now working 100% and I could not love it more.

Once the M4-P returns in a week or 2 I was going to send my M6ttl to DAG for a simple CLA..... then I read this post..http://www.rangefinderforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=92202

I figure while DAG has it I might as well get it as perfect as I can. Happy to spend some cash as I never see myself selling this guy 🙂

Currently it has a .85 vf. Is it possible/reasonable/needed to change that?

What other options should I consider to get it to be the best possible M6ttl?

thanks
david

Flare/MP finder upgrade and SL2 rewind crank. If you don't need all framelines, it can be nice to have some masked out. The original aluminum rewind cranks bend or break easily. Leave the 0.85 finder. If you want different magnification I would trade against another camera.

Roland.

+1 for leaving .85 finder in.

How about a covering change just fof fun (or for more gripyness), possibly removing some frame lines if you are into limited focal lengths? My MP has simplified 35mm and 50mm frames modified by Don. It's great if your aren't into 135mm or 75mm.

Good suggestions here.

I'd also fit custom leather, preferably GripTac from CameraLeather.

0.85 MP finder and blocking out the 75 and 135 frames I'd do too. Rewind crank might be nice too, while Don's at it.

Can we pls see shots when it returns? Pretty please?

Good ideas.

I will recover from camera leather as I did my M8...very easy to do.

I liek the masking idea of the 75/135.

How about a full on repaint?

I'm planning on some mods to my M6. It is with a technician now getting an M3 advance lever, and later on I think of installing another covering, VH Black Vynil or black Griptac, as I am not a big fan of the factory one. Might also add the condenser and remove 135mm and 75mm, as I don't use these FLs, but still evaluating the overall costs.

Silly question, but the can the red dot be de-painted so I get a silver one? Or would it look too bad? I've seen a M4 top plated M6 with M3 levers, but it should be a mod too extreme to do..
