I imagine the kid is keeping his arm up to make sure the two gulls in the sand do not snatch his treat, but a third plummets from the sky and gets it anyway

oh and what's the real story behind the photo? I thought the kid was feeding the gulls on purpose but wants the gulls to swoop down on his hand...
