Vitomatic IIIb Ultron, first shots
It was worthwhile waiting for my first roll in my recently bought Voigtlander Vitomatic IIIb with the famous Ultron 1:2 / 50 lens. The landscape is like a Théophile de Bock (1851 - 1904) painting, the B&W picture shows what the Ultron is capable for. More on this camera, the pictures and the Dutch landscape painter de Bock on: http://cees.geldersnetwerk.nl > 'Mijn camera's' and 'Helden'.

My secret?

My secret?

This was just a lucky shot with an unlucky film! The film I used was an overaged Kodakcolor I preserved in my refrigerator for several years. After developing I find there was a rather strange yellow haze over the pictures that I corrected slightly. What was left over was the colourpalet, so characteristic of the painters of the so called 'School of Oosterbeek' from the 19th century in Holland.
The same prints in B&W justify more the performance of this beautiful lens. Time to invest now in a real good film!

Nice homepage. I especially like the winter shots in the "seasons" department!

Funny part of it is that I actually understood some of the text - Danish is my native language and I know a little German; many similarities to Dutch (or should that be Flemish?)

BTW - should you stumble upon another Vito with the Ultron lens at a reasonable price, I sure would be interested :)
