Hiya,

I thought to ask here if anybody else has encountered an alignment issue with Plustek scanners. Mine is the 7500i model and I am having difficulty of getting the whole 135 frame into the scan. I'm getting blank along one of the longer sides of the frame and the negative getting cut off at the opposite side... Most of the time I am able to get 99% of the picture area but getting the whole frame is difficult (push the neg to one side and make sure the scanned area matches it).

I'm wondering is there is a way to adjust the area that the reading arm goes over...

cheers!

Hi,
Yes I have noticed this on my 7600i – I found that if I pull the film holder so that the indent that locks it for each frame, moves slightly away from where it naturally wants to sit; this helps.
I have not been able to find any references for a fix; should contact Plustek but have not got around to it yet. Probably because my ‘fix’ has overcome the problem for me at least.

Hi,

Try entering the film holder from the left side, with the part that opens below (if I'm not mistaken). So scanning frame is much smoother in my Plustek 7400.

Hi, I tried this, but unfortunately it seems that the holder must be slightly different in my 7500 as it is very difficult to insert upside down, and once I got it horizontally lined up I noticed that the earlier issue persists... unfortunately.

I just turned on the scanner. I get good results by entering the holder from the left, with the opening facing up, left upward (clockwise). But I don't know 7500. I hope you solve, perhaps by contacting Plustek to a new holder.
