Plastic advance lever on M2?

Hi there,

I love the M2, love the famelines, love the rewind knob, but think that I more a plastic lever guy.. It's like a bit more comfortable to advance with it
I've been searching any info for this modification with no result, I would like to do it myself, I've seen M3's and MP's with plastic advance levers, but no M2 with it. That made me think it would be no possible on a M2 due the frame counter.

Am I right? It is impossible because the lever desing, or any on you guys already did it? Am I really weird?

I don't think it's much of a problem to switch the advance levers.
I actually like the solid type more and had it the other way around when I had my M6.
BUT
Be careful: the only way to properly open the ring that holds the lever by using the right clamp. If you try something else you are in for scratching the ring or the camera top plate.

If you have the right clamp, which you can get from micro-tool or ebay it's literally a 3 minutes job, it's very easy 😉

And no, you are not weird. I find the plastic lever more practical as well 🙂 Then again, I wouldn't change my M2. For me, it is what it is.

I will look for the right clamp and probably change it and if in a future I change my mind always could go back.

2 min job with the proper clamp.
I wouldn't change it if I were you. Get a M4 instead.

BTW Do anyone know the diameter for the right flexiclamp? I don't find my caliper and would like to buy the tool the sooner the better.
