ZM frame accuracy

Hello to all happy ZM shooters...

I have a question regarding the frame accuracy of the ZM:
Well....
you know...
how accurate are they?

Is there any information comparable to the Leica design:
"the frame describe 93% of the actual image at the minimum distance" (1m up to mid M4-p, 0.7m beyond)
Anything of that sort?

Once saw a comparison table Leica, Bessa vs. ZI somewhere. Maybe from Roger ? I don't remember - google might help.

You don't need to allow much around the edges or you'll cut things off. Colin Jago found the 35 framelines were spot on for a 40 at distance, but I've found them fine with the 35 Biogon.

It is also worthy of note that the ZI settings are in all but two cases the smallest, and those cases are the 50mm frame on the MP and the 90mm frame on the R3A with its 1:1 finder.

Also interesting is the fact that in opposition to Leica, the frame coverage is not consistent between focal length.
I would give a lot to have a better frame accuracy for the 50mm on an M6/MP.
Oh well, I have my M2 for that...🙂

I think they might actually be a little more accurate than he ones in a Leica M.

The lines on the Leica frames are thicker than those of the ZI, and have been a problem for me with a 90mm lens--I end up leaving too much space at the top of a photo, unless I'm careful.
