Ride, dive, shoot.
Wish I was bold enough to do this. My current style is almost opposite of this: 1600, often shot at F8-11. I might do Wide-Open September or something like that though. I won't last any longer than that.

The best camera is one that still works!
After habitually shooting all my lenses wide open I've eventually come to realise it's a little crazy to do so and it can hinder decent imagery ... so count me out!

I have a shutter that goes to 1/8000, but those with legacy cameras might have only 1/1000 or so.
Well Hexar Rf gets you pretty close at 1/4000. Using it with M-Hexanon 50/1.2 wide open is fun.

The Hexar RF is a great camera. I really enjoyed the 1/4000 shutter when I had mine.

My eperiments with old glass are mostly wide open to invoke specifically the optical errors, so I'm automatically in. Currently, I'm playing with a pinhole device, where I only can shoot wide open

Personally, I cannot imagine much more limiting than this. There would be far too much to miss out on shooting only wide open for me personally. I also dont get the point. Why not select the desired aperture for the look you want? Its not a difficult concept to grasp after all.

One year always using the best possible aperture for the image at hand. Now there's a challenge, I think you're on to something here!

well, going on week 2 or so, things are going well, though I did run into a day trip where I succumbed to the desires of the slightly stopped down lens, however these exceptions were noted above, I just didn't expect them to come so soon.
A couple of kits I am using in addition to the M8 are a Fuji F72 EXR p&s which has some different film modes, as well as some downres sensor modes for dynamic range, and low light performance.
With the M8, the summiluxes, canon 28, and modified Jupiter 3 (focuses from .6m to ~2m) are what I'm using for this week. Also, doing a lot of b/w. On to week 3!
