Recently, I decided to give up on the one-body-one-lens setup with the M8 and 35/2 Biogon, and to get a 28 and a 50 instead.
I'm still waiting for my 50, which will be a 50/1.5 Nokton, but I have received the 28/2.8 M-Rokkor already, and I must say, it's quite a nice little lens!
On the M8, it roughly equals a 35mm on full-frame, so it's a nice allrounder, ideally suited for street and other daily picture taking, but also for landscapes and group shots, for example.
Before receiving it I wasn't entirely sure if the 35mm f-o-v would suit me, but judging from my experience with the 20/1.7 on the E-P1 with its 40mm equivalent f-o-v being sometimes too narrow, I was pretty optimistic. And indeed, I really like the field-of-view I get with the 28mm on the M8. For me, it's the ideal walkaround lens, as I can get much more in the frame than with the 35mm I had before (eq. 47mm), yet it's not as wide as a (real) 28mm which I know I don't like all that much.
The lens itself is pretty sharp already at f/2.8, showing slight vignetting, which is gone by f/4. Of course, with a 28/2.8 you won't get much o-o-f blurring. Still, with close subjects and distant backgrounds, subject separation is possible.
Another + for the 28mm focal length on the M8 are the framelines, which are just so wide that they still fit in my eye's field-of-view - in contrast to the 24mm framelines, whose limits to see I have to move around my eye constantly (yes, I move only the one eye I use for framing!
)
All in all I'm very happy I bought the lens, and when the fast 50 (which I will mainly use for portraits) arrives, I'm sure I won't miss the 35/2 Biogon at all - which is a GREAT lens, don't get me wrong, but a bit restricting if it's your only one.
Oh - and the Rokkor looks SOOOO good on my chrome M8! A bit like a real Leica lens with its yellow markings and its "retro" 70s design
EDIT: I totally forgot to mention - indeed, the 28/2.8 M-Rokkor DOES bring up the 35mm framelines on an M, but holding the lens release button down, it can easily be rotated a few degrees further to bring up the 28mm framelines. Works well for me!

Mine has no directly visible white spots, but you see them when you hold it against the light - very very tiny and covering the whole front lens element. Also, its age shows - only cosmetically, though - not in the pictures!
Will post some pix as soon as I've taken some worth sharing!

Ugh, 28 rokkor

Had the lens, bought off ebay. Had the white spot disease sooooo bad that it affected the image terribly - low, low contrast on all images. Just awful. Had to return the lens. Too bad, 'cause it is tiny and well constructed (except for the spot thing). People say the disease continues to spread, so might be worth getting it fixed early rather than later. John at Focal Point can go over the lens and repair some of the spot issues.

Rob, so far the pictures all look good. The previous owner reportedly used the lens for years, without ever having any problems. Also, at the moment I just can't afford having the lens CLA-ed, despite not knowing where to go with it here in Germany.

Congrats to you. The Rokkor is an excellen tens.
My Rokkor suddenly got some white spots.
It still is contrasty.
Is such a lens selling for $400 or so these days?

Raid, for mine I paid a little less than 400 €, but I saw other claimed spotless copies go for as little as ~ 330 €. (All eBay prices.) Buy-it-now items often are much more expensive, though.
