dear all,

i have been trying to look for a half case for olympus 35 rc for safe travelling purpose but no luck. any1 can advise me where can i get it? thanks.

I have never seen one, but if you find something that fits let us know.
FWIW the original Olympus case was a one-piece zippered pouch.

I use a Minolta Hi-Matic G case for my 35RC. The screw hole is in exactly the right place and since both cameras are about the same size, it fits beautifully. The "Minolta" name plate is a chrome plated, single piece attachment that is stuck on with little plastic pegs that poke through the cover, and pulls off pretty easily. It's a perfect solution. If it means you have to buy a Hi-Matic G, then so be it; they're pretty cheap and it'll give you another cool camera to play with, though not nearly as cool as the 35RC. Here's a quick, crude snapshot...

Anyone have a 35RD/DC recommendation? I often throw cameras into a backpack - a small case like that is nice. I use on with a Canonet 17.

It isn't a necessity by any shot and a more traditional case would work, but I appreciate the hard half case for the Canonet enough that am still looking around.

As unfashionable as they might be here some of us just like using them.

believe me, i barely give a nod to fashion...i just find them too cumbersome.
i like a naked camera kept in a bag or for use in a backpack, then a small neoprene sack.

hi joe,
i guess every1 have their own preference. as for me, i like to keep it in half case while travelling. :) meanwhile i am keeping it safe in natgeo small pouch.
