I'm just curious.. I can't afford such a thing but I noted while surfing earlier this morning that the Leica Coniguratoratrix *smirK* for A La Carte M7/MP cameras does not have any distributor or such in Canada.

The closest would be to order from the U.S.A.
So, humour me, and tell me, is there any way to order an M7/MP A La Carte in Canada?
Curious (and can't afford it really),
Dave

According to the list you can't order in Canada!!!!
That really surprises me. Surely there must be a camera store in Canada that can do this.

The Camera Store in Calgary participates in A la Carte. I was surprised when pricing out my dream MP that Canada wasn't listed. But I called and TCS said they did!

What he said. Jean is an excellent fellow to contact for all things Leica.

Thanks guys.. I believe 8 Elm Photo here in Toronto can do A La Carte as well.. don't know if Merkel can.. It's an interesting concept but, well, unless the lottery comes in (or I sell all my digital gear) i don't think the a la carte thing is going to happen

Shops local
I was told by the local Leica rep the way the program works is you "design" your camera online, take the PDF to your local dealer and pay them and they order it. Any Leica dealer can do this. So I was told...

Less talk, time to put up the goods. ...
I love alacarte - but I always end up making the same camera, which looks a lot like yours:

I don't know why I keep playing with it though, cause the camera I actually shoot with looks pretty much the same:
