can i make this Kodak Six-20 folder fire again?

I bought a Kodak SIX-20 Folding Hawkeye almost 20 years ago at a Beijing market in China. I just like the outlook and use it as decoration, never once thought it really could take pictures...until i came to one of your threads with breathtaking photos made by folders.
Those pictures are such a inspiration that i want to use mine too!
However the shutter is not firing. I open the front panel and found there is a loose wire (with loops). I can move all the parts with finger and the shutter open and shut easily so i guess if i re-hook the wire to its right position then the camera will come to life again.

Could anyone give me a hint?

That is a simple self-cocking shutter with a single shutter blade. The blade usually looks like a fan with a hole in the center. The wire is actually the spring that powers it. Don't stretch the loop in the middle! One end of the spring usually slips over a post on the body of the shutter. That end doesn't move. The other end slips over a post on the blade itself (wedge shaped thing with a hole in the middle). When the shutter is actuated, that little spring inverts itself. Play with it a bit. Shouldn't be too hard to figure out.

i am trying to figure out which one is the "wedge shaped thing with a hole in the middle"......may i ask: could it be no. 1 (green letter in my pic)?......i am a complete camera-idiot......

No. 1 is the lever that actuates the shutter. The shutter is still buried in your photo. It is the black thing behind your aperture right next to #2. A few questions about your video:

The spring is re-attached in the video, yes?
You have the camera set on "B", yes?

(1) yes i have tried to re-attach the spring but i still can't figure where the loose end belongs to...so you see i can do half the "action"--the blade can open and reveal the lens but cannot spring back instantly and automatically
(2) i think i set the camera at "i" which i think should be 1/60s or something...

As the end of the spring is a loop, it should pop over a post. I'm guessing it's the brass post just above the loop in your photo.

tried to hook the loop to a few places but still no luck
--tried "a2" (underneath the shutter lever "a1") and "b"

"b" is a bow-shaped thing that hang above the aperture
--it also blocked the aperture when open!! very strange to me
i assume it should trigger a spring-back action that will close the shutter when you press the shutter lever at "I" setting.

am i right?

and i don't understand the relation of "T/I" lever and the shutter, there is a spring connected the two at the right-bottom-corner that i see no obvious function...apart from spring back the shutter lever. How will it control the "T" & "I".
