Wanted to show you guys photos I've done during this summer in Saint-Petersburg with my trusty Leica MP and 50mm cron pre-last...
It was July, and during my 12 days there was new heat record settled.

Nice pics. Thanks for making me smile, and even laugh. I've only ever been to St. Petersburg in November. One of the most beautiful cities on earth, but decidedly brisk at that time of year. I hope to get back one day. Your pictures reinforce that hope. Maybe I'll even get there in the summer!
Cheers,
R.

oh wow! thats an interesting collection. I have been to St. Petersburgh in winter and I never saw any bikinis and thongs. I might have to go back in summer and find a cool dacha!

#11 & 12 stand out for me. Something a bit mysterious and dance-like about them.

As someone who hates heat and humidity, i feel sorry for those folks.
great pictures, but if you're going to photograph somebody naked, at least try to make their nakedness a little less awkward.

Raised a smile, and St. Petersburg looks a lot more liberal than where I live!
Just out of interest, did anyone object?

Volodimir, #7, #11 and #13 are wonderful. Great series - you can feel the heat! Only been to St Petersburg once, and that was when it was called Leningrad (1974) and in April. Not as warm as in your shots.

You were lucky to spot Nikita Kruschev in photo #9. I thought he'd been dead for years!

You bet they do!.. Starting from 7 up in the morning they are already there...

Actually, this were not natural weather for Petersburg... It's more often rain and cold wind from the sea... So, it was kind of luck I guess... Not many people from there remember such heat... I wonder from were those old gentlemen knew how to take sunbathes...

Yes... You are the first one (on this forum) to notice their look-a-likeness (not sure how to spell it, sorry)...

Dear Volodimir,
Just called Frances to look at them. She smiled and laughed too.
Frightening thought: we were last in St. Petersburg when you were about two years old, in 1990 or so.
Congratulations again!
Cheers,
R.
