I Want to Buy a Rangefinder Movie?

I loved it. Even though the generic graphics were pure rubbish and the voices were bland, the dialogue more than made up for it.

You do realize that's the point of the site? You upload a script and it auto-renders it using generic video and text-to-speech.

My time is valuable and the minutes flushed down the toilet to watch yet another dead boring xtranormal are minutes I would never get back. I'd rather do something useful with my time, like counting cracks in the ceiling or stacking up toothpicks.

True that. The video is subversive. Every moment spent watching it, not to mention posting multiple critiques of it, is a moment less for wanking on camera gear. It's an IQ test, hahaha. Tempus fugit --> when you're having fun.

Chris, the video is mine, sorry it wasted your time. :) How many cracks are there?

I didn't know you made it, and didn't watch much of it, so no time wasted and no offense to you intended. This isn't the first Xtranormal video I've seen. The first was one a few months ago that showed the two creatures in the role of a magazine editor and a photographer haggling over price and service to be provided by the photographer. Basically the editor wanted the photographer to work for free and the photographer told the editor to go to hell. The writing was fine, and right on as a commentary on the industry, but watching that video just hurt. I thought maybe the creator lacked skill, but after seeing a couple other xtranormal vids and realizing how they were made, I realized that Xtranormal sucked, not the writer of the dialogues.

My comments were aimed at Xtranormal and how people can stand watching these things without wanting to shoot themselves to escape.

I don't know, having had several of these other videos inflicted on me, I just couldn't do it. My time is valuable and the minutes flushed down the toilet to watch yet another dead boring xtranormal are minutes I would never get back. I'd rather do something useful with my time, like counting cracks in the ceiling or stacking up toothpicks.

Thank you so much for for freeing up your valuable time in order to post this riveting response. I know I have been enriched....

First time I watch this.

You made it? the render is ok, try renderman or environment image based lighting with global illumination and final gathering to make volumetric shadow, it could make it looks deep, I like it, next time make they walk and make street shot :p
Nice render, little slow but Goooodd!!!

Maya, 3d Studio, Houdini, Softimage or what did you use?

Regards.
