My first C-type colour print

Thanks to the excellent Rapid Eye in Old Street London I learnt to make c-type colour prints today. I wonderful process, giving the photographer/printer far greater creative powers over the result, and producing large photographic prints that beat the pixels off any fine digital colour printing.

This one, taken from one of my 6x6 negatives, is given the warm effect I tend to prefer, and is scanned as is, without any photoshopping.

I shall be definitely going back and making some more....

I made them for 25 years and they are wonderful. Inkjet prints look like cartoons in comparison.

My compromise is digi or scanned film, photoshop, lazer light printer.

Great printing Nick. RA4 printing rocks. I actually enjoy it even more than B&W printing. I just wish Kodak hadn't axed some of their lower contrast papers. Printing on Fuji CA now. The Photofusion Darkroom is another good and inexpensive darkroom with excellent RA4 facilities in London. Lately, I've been printing up 4x5 C-41 on 8x10 sheets and they sure look sweet.
