Summilux 35mm pre-asph photos

This is excellent. I used to be a nurse and this reminded me of those days.

Funny how some pictures have a life of their own.

Harrejesus, this is a great shot. How did you measure the exposure ? Manually ? Your shot is exposed just perfectly - I tend to over-expose and blow some highlights when I try this.

Clare & little Henry!

Wide open... shot in Mauritius last week. Quite a contrast to the snow that we returned to in the U.K.

Something a little different... on the Olympus E-P2, wide open:

I love the way the lens retains its "dreamy" quality on digital.. I noted something the other day about the lens, the small "lenses" that are within the lens itself - reminds me of a Carl Zeiss softar... neat.. probably is the reason for the coma etc.

Cheers,
Dave

I got a Lux 35/1.4 itch. But no cash to burn without selling off something, and I'm not prepared to sell of any of my current kit. Oh well, it'll pass I reckon, in a couple of weeks.

There were at least three that changed hands in the classifieds the last couple of weeks, so I guess we can expect some nice shots from happy new owners soon.

All shot with a vintage 1969 35mm Summilux (with infinity lock for those of you interested in the lens version.) This lens has become my indispensable lens over my DR Summicron. It's just an awesome optic.
