Hello,
I just bought a LTM to M adapter from Fotodiox and I noticed that it said it gave limited infinity focus (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=350245941913).
I never knew infinity focus would be an issue with these adapters, does it really matter and would I still be able to focus to infinity say with a Canon 35/2 LTM and an M2?
Thanks

I think they cut and paste copy from one adapter ad into another; and the grasp of English isn't so great. I've used these for a long time with no problems. Indeed they are loyal copies of the ones Leitz made and i don't believe they affect the distance to the film plane at all.

I meant to mention, to support my theory that half that ad had nothing to do with the LTM/M adapters, did you notice that whole bit about stop down metering? It's completely irrelevant for this adapter.

Thanks for the response. Yeah that's what I thought, but then I found one that Fotodiox was selling for 41 dollars and they claimed that one was able to focus for infinity. Something fishy is going on.

At photokina you commonly find the same (Chinese) companies selling apparently identical adapters, with one company charging twice as much as another.
1 The people who sell them are not always the same people who make them
2 Apparently identical and identical are not the same thing
3 Often, you get what you pay for, but sometimes you get expensive rubbish and other times you get honest bargains
4 There's the Internet for you, along with buying on price
Cheers,
