Those who used it with a digital M did ever experience any focus shift or focus related issues?

UC-Hexanon @ f/16 on Tmax P3200. Analog to digital conversion by a very cheap scanner. An extreme torture test for any lens.

f/5.6 or f/8 on Kodachrome. Slightly better scanner.

I keep it for 3 reasons:
1. I own an LTM camera.

Where does one find one of these, nowadays? The Japanese eBay sellers that were offering them seem to have sold out recently, and now they are rather thin on the ground.

There was a recent (ridiculous) auction for two of them, new in box, with consecutive serial numbers.

From time to time I consider selling mine along with some duplicate and unused gear. Use the proceeds for something really important like a Nikon F3 and 3 lenses.
Then I come to my senses. On the other hand, do I really need a luxury like the UC-Hexanon? Do I really need 5 50mm lenses or 3 85mm-90mm or 3 35mm lenses?
Silly questions. Of course!
Seriously. Watch the classifieds here. As I recall, a pair came and went in recent memory.

If you want the best and smallest 35/2 LTM lens you just need the UC-Hexanon. There is no other choice.

I owned my UC Hexanon for about a year and it became my favorite day-to-day lens. I sold it to buy a Summilux M which is different but has a wider aperture that I use often.
The UC Hexanon is one of the best ever. Probably the best optic you can stick on a LTM camera and if I owned one, I'd still have the UC lens.
If you can get around the .9m close focus then it's perfect.

I'd like to try one these shimmed down for ~.6m close up with the NEX.

I had one and sold it due to the longish minimum focusing distance. The lens was very well built and the images were nice (as long as you don't place any straight lines near the edges of the frame - it had some wicked distortion), but I always found myself wanting to get closer to the subject than was possible. It sounds like I wasn't alone in this respect. It was a nice compact little lens, but I don't miss it much.

is it possible at all to modify the lens so that it focuses closer?

i am keeping mine and never regret having bought it, it's one little charm thing to use and i like its rendition in B/W and color, it stays on my M4 90% of the time... but yes, i wish it focuses closer
