Had it here yesterday. Unfortunately the wife has the flu with a three day temperature of 101, and I can feel myself trying to get it also. Good luck!

The ears are a little red, but no worst for the wear. I finished up the role of Legacy Pro 400, may soup it today, or next weekend. Making a lasagna right now.

Most of the snow has melted, the streets are covered with grit (which was useless anyway as it was dispersed on 20 cm thick snow layer), I am looking for a job and all my exposed BW films are developed - no way for me to turn the devil off ...

The hardest part is getting away from Hal. We've made it too convenient, as we do our banking online, pay our bills, buy (and buy and buy) stuff, sell stuff, scan negs, view the scans, and on and on. I even ordered the cat's food on the computer, where in some odd price cutting move Amazon.com is offering to ship 3 boxes of food for the girls every month to the door for less than I can go up to ProleMart and buy it. If I could, I'd hook Hal to the lights and heater and have Him make adjustments in temp, turn the lights off and on at night, and take the phone calls. Maybe the power will go off. I have this fear that one day I'll reach down to turn the computer off, and get zapped because it doesn't want to be turned off.

I've heard about this. Some 500 year flooding events. It's hard to imagine yet there was a similar flooding event in the US/Canada Mississippi/Red River systems about 10 years ago. My heart goes out to the families. There are some great stories of protective efforts making walls and diversions during the flood. I'm sure the stories about these efforts will slowly begin to be told.

I had the comp turned off. But after a snow day in Delft, a day in Antwerp, a rainy morning in Rotterdam you want after developing your negatives and start scanning them. So I putted some coal on the fire and booted the thing... again...

Well, I have done my part this winter. Shot some rolls out in the snow, got cold, some nice prints to show for. Now it's just rainy and wet, so I'm putting the M's in the cupboard, my feet up against the central heating and my ears inside some headphones.
I think I'll stay here until the sun puts in some effort cause it's been a kinda one-ended deal these past weeks.

I have film in several camera's I need to finish up. Yesterday the wind was terrible & not much better today. Sunday is the day I haul trash to the dump site so I'm fixing to do just that. We're expecting snow tonight so gotta get busy. Looks like the Chiefs are going to loose...drat's. Well at least the Jet's won yesterday, perhaps I'll pull for them. As for the computer I never turn it off, just let it go to sleep. Last much longer that way I'm told. Must be true, it's a Dell Dimension 4100. Got a new one being built in the wings so this one will soon be retired!
