I know she is not a beautiful girl like the models of LeicaTom ^__^ but she is sweet, really soft, always happy to see me, she give a lot of kiss (or maybe they are licking) and she sleep on my bed with me
...and of course she love my canon 50\1.2

Canon 50/1.2 on the Bessa R2, wide-open.
Like, "Wow", man.
Wide-open on the M8, Hot Mirror Filter, and the Sun-Shade from the Noct-Nikkor.
100% Crop:
This lens is made from two parts lenses, front section and focus mount from a parts lens Roland sent to me, and the rear module and infinity tab from Ebay. I left the name-ring off, which reflects off the Hot Mirror Filter.

I've had mine for a year, and even tho I am a 35mm kind of guy, this is so great for portraits.

Check buzzardkid's post in this thread!
Ahhhh, now that's what I'm talking about -- thanks!
I just need to get a soft enough cleaning cloth, since the surface that gets hazy on my lens has had the coating polished off.

Love this lens, great at 1.2 and greater stopped down.
Exchanged it for a sigma dp1 and before use i Had to correct the pronounced focus shift it had, but now everything is ok!!!
Also i found it really small
At Coquimbo, Chile, sunny 16. Leica III-G
Santiago, Chile @ 5.6 +-, Minolta CLE.

And here's one I've posted before, from when the lens still had an internal surface with coating half-eaten by fungus.
A girl and her dog. [Canon LTM 50/1.2 @ f/1.2 on Epson R-D1 @ ISO 400]

Some nice photos (the thread starter rocks). Do I get it right that this lens likes contrasty film/light ?
Definitely would be on my list for portraits should I ever get back to 35mm RF.
EDIT: How does it compare to the f/1.4 version ?

Beautiful capture! Lovely dog
This lens is GREAT for pet photos, just have to be quick and work at f1.2/f1.4 in fast moving daytime lighting

Beautiful portraits.....they also have that 1970's look about them, that's why I love this lens, it's like "instant retro"

It does work in that more contrasty mode, you have to watch if you forcefuly overexpose with the lens that you don't blow it out too much.
I prefer the f1.2 over the f1.4 while the look it gives at f1.4 is much smoother than the f1.4 is at f1.4 (does that make sense to everyone?)

The best camera is one that still works!
I'm a big fan of this lens and understand Tom's admiration totally.

Strangeluv beautiful shots. Are they made with a M8/M9? Very difficult to see (and I could also be wrong), but I simply have to admire your post processing technique if these are digital. If it is the case any secrets to share as I just purchased a 50/1.2 myself and am still struggling with digital post processing. Can use all the help I can get

Thank you Peter, kind words
They're all shot on a M8. Post processing is basically done in PS3 and most importantly, Silver Efex Pro. Great piece of software with lots of possibilities.
