What kind of RF lens combination do you have?

I am courious of which lenses do you have in your RF bag.
I see that a 50mm is a must-have-lens for many. Either Leica, zeiss zm, cv...

Which focus lengths and apertures -and which brand?

35+75 (Summilux f/1.4 + Summicron f/2)

All others are add-ons. In order of usefulness, probably 50 (f/1.5 C-Sonnar), then wide (15/4.5 CV or 18/4 Zeiss or 21/2.8 Kobalux -- I'd love a Tri-Elmar) then 135 (Elmarit-M f/2.8).

My wife's choice: 18 + 50 (Distagon f/4 + Summarit f/2.5) then 90 (Summicron f/2 or Apo-Lanthar f/3.5).

Zeiss Biogon 2.8/21, summarit 2.5/35, Tele-Elmarit 2.8/90 are always around me. And when planning some low light my CV Nokton 1.1./50 will come with me as well (too heavy to carry all the time though...) cheers, mauro

I usually carry 2 Ms with 35mm lenses (35mm f1.2 Nokton and 35mm f3.5 Summaron).
But right now the M2 is loaded with Neopan Acros 100 for a change and is being used with a 1.5/50 Nokton and 90mm Summicron, testing for portraits only.
35mm FL is way more important than the 50 for me.

Every lens I own is in my sig. Except my 35mm f1.2 Nokton that's busted after dropping it. I keep meaning to send it to CameraQuest for repair but forget.

I carry the 25mm f2.8, 35mm f2, 50mm f2 and 90mm f2 with me everyday for work. I really want to pick up the zeiss 21mm 2.8 and carry that instead of the 25mm. The only time I ever go that wide is for real estate assignments. And I only use the 90mm for fire and crime scenes. A lot of my work is done with the 35mm and 50mm. The 50mm is for capturing people and the 35mm is for getting the whole scene.

The 135mm Hektor is a horrid lens. It's long and awkward on the camera. Produces soft images, and the f4.5 is only usable during the day. 80% of the time I use the 90mm and crop if I need to. The 135mm sits on a shelf pretty much all the time.

Once upon a time I carried a smaller camera bag and the 35mm and 75mm went with me everywhere. But I no longer use that bag. My 75mm and 50mm f1.4 sit unused these day. And I'm actually selling the 50mm 1.4 if anyone is interested. Though I have been photographing with it this week since I dropped my 50mm f2 and just sent it out to Leica NJ for repair today. Hopefully it's not too badly damaged. But it's no longer pretty.

My total kit is an M3 and an M5; 35 1.2 CV Nokton, 35 2.8 goggled Summaron, DR Cron 50, 50 3.5 CV LTM Heliar, 90 2.8 thin Tele-Elmarit, 135 2.8 Elmarit. And a 25 CV LTM snapshot skopar.

The wides are used with the M5, for obvious reasons, except the goggled one; the 90/135 usually on the M3 but far from always. The fifties go on either camera. I really have to get a 25mm external viewfinder one of these days by the way! (Sometimes I take my Barnack out for a walk too, but then it's with a fifty, a Summar or an Industar or the Heliar; I don't normally use the two first ones on an M.)

I tend to have one lens on camera and one in my pocket, except with the 135 which is frankly too big to be easily combined with anything else. Typically I'll carry the snapshot skopar and a fifty, or a thirty-five and the ninety.

I prefer to have different camera systems each with their own unique lens, it means that each system serves it's own purpose and creates certain types of photos.

I like taking with me one body and two lenses, one wide (35 or 28) and one long (90 or 135). Sometimes I take two cameras, and then one has a wide lens and the other a 50mm. As for a long lens when this happens... the 50 is long enough.

BTW, mostly Leica brand glass and cameras, but two of my three 35mm lenses are NOT from Leitz or Wetzlar (Hexanon and Nokton f1.4).

With RFs I prefer 40, 50 will do as well. But if I'm working on a project I will carry one SLR with a 28 and another one with a 80, as well as the RF.

I also have my Nikkor LTM set, 28/3.5, 35/3.5, and 50/2, but not being used since I re-acquired the Leica lenses. Probably add the 85/2 eventually.

I choose my to-go lens(es) out of that bunch, depending on what I want to photograph. So I don't have standard combinations, carrying 21 + 90, 28 + 35, 50 + 90, 21 + 50, 21 + 35 are all useful combinations for me. Only "rule" is to avoid carrying more than two lenses at once (because I start thinking more about lens choices than photo).

Never more than an M and a single lens with me at a time. For the most part it's a 50mm, from which I have a 1st version f2.8 elmar, zeiss sonnar-c and a voigtlander f1.1, to choose from at the moment. The 35mm gets brought out when I am in the mood for some street-style shooting, and the tiny Canon 35mm f2 more than fills this role.
