I did a search and didn't find this posted so I hope I'm not posting duplicates.
Just wanted to let you all know that Youxin Ye has a web site up. Got it from him in an email the other day:

I should offer to trade him a new design for a CLA.

Technically, I suppose that is a website.

The best camera is one that still works!
Nice to know he's not wasting our money on fancy advertising!

He's spending his time on cameras.
He did say he wants to get more material up there, general Leica information, tips about maintenance, when they need service and when they don't, etc. But one step at a time....

Yes indeed. Emailed with him the other day and just sent off my M3 to have it matched to an old LTM lens. I know from all the guys here that have complimented him, I won't be disappointed at all.
Maybe he'll take a picture of my camera and use it on his site.... that would be soooo cool...

I prefer a simple website like this one and excellent service than the opposite

That's funny. I would like a little more too. But thanks to the poster anyway.

What could he really put up there beyond the basics that he has? I don't think it really needs more. His reputation is more by word of mouth than anything and I think this will add just enough without overwhelming him. Just my thought.
Really though, he doesn't need to put up a lot of pictures and stuff.

One thing I would like to know, but I guess I could email him, does he have an optical three sample sensor for shutter speeds.

Are there a lot of different types of shutter speed sensors out there? That's something I've not looked into before. As long as it's accurate it shouldn't matter, should it?

Not so new now.
I think the website is perfect. What the heck else do you need besides how to contact, what he works on, how long and how to pay?

I'm sure that is true. But any assurance that he can do it would very much be helpful, no matter how.

He had a shutter tester that he ran my IIIf through many times, and a little googling shows that it is a Camlogix SH-T2 shutter speed tester. But Camlogix appears to be offline now, so I can't say what sort of shutter tester it is.
The IIIf has some variance in its shutter, and being 60 years old and entirely mechanical, it's not going to be spot on always. When he tested the camera, he would test, turn some screws, retest, get it as close as possible, then run through other shutter speeds, and discover that it had gone inaccurate on a different shutter speed, so it would be back to testing there, then running through everything again, to get it as accurate as possible across all shutter speeds, which again, with the old mechanics, isn't dead accurate, and couldn't be expected to be.
This is by way of saying that I'm guessing that the tester is probably accurate to a much higher tolerance than an old Leica mechanical shutter can ever be.
