That weekend is out for me, unfortunately. Might be a good thing, since drinking beer weakens my resolve to not buy more gear.
I sure could use a dedicated medium format scanner, though.

So, is this gig on for Jan 30th? I could bring the following Nikon gear: Model S rangefinder body, chrome S2 body, chrome FM body, and these SLR lenses: Series E 75-150 zoom, 28mmf3.5, 35mmf2.8. If I can part with my Leica M4-2, it will come, as well as a Canon VT. Love trades: anybody have a Leicavit for the IIIF?
Note: there is the "big"photo show in the South Bay the Saturday before, so maybe some of us coul meet there on Saturday? I am thinking of going to that show and makiing it a photography weekend in the Bay Area.

The 30th works for me. I need to dig through the closet and see what I have to offer.

I can come on 30th & have one of those 35 Nokton 1.2s that were just discontinued. (Apparently the glass wasn't available any more; so new ones have gone up in price. Mine was permanently coded & calibrated by DAG.)
I also have a bunch of small Leica stuff like older lens hoods.
suggested? I've liked it when we met at/around SFMOMA, because of nearness of Montgomery BART.

PS to Kent: When the date/time/place are set, suggest you post this on LUF too.

I'm in for the 30th too, but more for the beer and less for the gear. Hmmm where to meet around SFMoMA?

I can probably do the 30th, but if it's in SF there's no way I'm bringing a trunk-load of gear. Maybe a leica nipple if anyone needs one.

Hi Kent,
Thanks for kicking this idea off. I'm planning to come on the 30th, but 'family planning' can often de-rail my photo activities. I'll have a few tidbits to offer up... but nothing to get excited about. Unless someone is really into 135mm.

Is meeting in the East Bay a possibility? If so, Pyramid Brewpub on Gilman might work: we could grab a long table (make a reservation) and set up camp there. If in SF, perhaps the same set up at Gordon Biersch near the Embarcadero? I'd prefer Berkeley/Rockridge area, but that's just me.

Enjoy Life.
Bob- I officially knight you the master of this get together! I have a funeral to go to on Saturday after the death of a close family friend in the last few days so my week is a bit shot. I should be able to make the event on Sunday, no matter where the location, barring any unforeseen commitments.
So everyone, what do you think of Bob's location suggestion? Work for everyone? If so, what time?

Pyramid isn't a very good idea – though it's convenient by car, folks who take BART can't get there.

Alas, it's looking increasingly like I will be office-bound this coming weekend, and won't be able to join you all. Have fun bearing and gearing!

Your spelling error Steve is obviously a manifestation of your true colors as a Cal alumnus. Go Bears!
I don't have much non-used gear lying around, other than currently my liver, so I'll show up for a hi and imbibe.

Small kitchen, lots of cooks, and recipes for success strewn everywhere. So I cannot take the lead on this and suggest we all give it more thought for a future meeting. Meanwhile, all be well, use your film and gather your gear.

Looks like the gathering is losing steam here. I think Berkeley area is a good central place for everyone to meet.

Anybody know a good pub with an outdoor patio?

Jupiter near Downtown Berkeley Bart.
Trappist near 12 Street Oakland Bart.

Saturday the 29th is also the PhotoFair show in San Jose (which I've never been to and wanted to go to) as well as the last (and only weekend) day of MacWorld.
So -- I'm torn. I could probably do two events but not three on Saturday.

Jupiter in Berkeley is a good idea because it's right near BART.

Okay, I can make tomorrow. What time?
Yelp says Trappist has no outdoor seating.
(This will not stop me from enjoying things.)
