The best camera is one that still works!
The brassing is nice but the paint itself if it's original looks like it was poor quality with all the bubbling etc.

I agree - the paint on the lens almost looks "furry" - still, I'd love one of those!

You're absolutely right... but just for a second. Imagine owning and using that thing of beauty.
At $100,000 most of us will have to dream of doing just that.
