Pardon me if this has been posted before, but I just found it again and thought some folks might also like the M8 Commercial:

that was kinda cool, I've never seen a Leica commercial before. It seems fitting that they
would showcase Wim Wender for Leica; I like them both! (I really liked "Until the End of the World")

What's hilarious, though, is the dubbed-in sound of the aperture changing (you can't hear this in real life...) and the shutter sound of an M6.

I would love this commercial with Werner Herzog commentary as voice over.

Quietest M8 ever.

The best camera is one that still works!
"The wonderfully smooth click of the shutter!"
I remember the first time I heard mine I was just a little stunned.
Cool video though ... he's a great guy and his movies are awsome. I still rate 'Paris Texas' as the best movie I have ever seen .. that Ry Cooder soundtrack lives in my head forever!

Cool that it was done in B&W. I think I would have preferred an effort by Ryland Cooder to the offered sound track.
Keith, if you like Ry Cooder you might give a listen to Taj Mahal and/or Jesse Ed Davis. Jesse Ed is no longer with us, but played a mean slide. Duane copped his intro for Statesboro Blues lick for kick.
Give this a look/listen for more from Ry:

I have a very comprehensive collection of Ry Cooder's music and have a CD with Taj and Ry together very early on in their careers. Cooder was in his early teens at the time of the recording and was working regularly as a session musician.
I think 'Paradise and Lunch' would have to be my favourite CD and one of my favourite tracks from any of his albums is 'Vigilante Man!' There's a video on YouTube of him doing this live at 'The Old Grey Whistle Test' in England when he was very young ... it gives me goose bumps!

LOL +1, I was shocked! and that commercial was made before they brought in the 'discreet' mode patch.
