Leica LTM fake Leica again ?

Leica M39 screw mount bodies/lenses
Fake for sure! Plus I like that while lens is clearly fake Elmar, description says it's Summicron ! lol How many idiots are out there? AMAZING!

A quick giveaway is the way the vf border is a raised square, where a real Leica would have a nice round border around the screw, and some others, just a raised border around the very edge of the vf glass only (depending on the model)
I can't believe that people actually buy these fakes! They are incredibly ugly! Should have left it as an original Zorki/Fed.

"It was given a good look over and we can find nothing wrong with it."

LOL ... aside from being fake that is! :D

And they think it's 'real world value' is $1700.00 ... which world would that be I wonder?

It was a Zorki some time ago... Just look at finish - chrome plating was removed by mean of piece of sandpaper for re-engraving, and after it, the guy who did it was not able to re-finish camera in chromium in his garage, so this poor Zorki became a "golden Leica". Very bad fake so...

The seller has some truly terrible feedback, but it's all old enough that it doesn't factor into their percentage. Although buyers should do their research, I hope no over eager and under educated eBayer gets taken, as apparently happened in the past with other Russian fakes posted here.

Of note though is that it appears to all be from selling motor vehicles. The sensible thing to do in most cases like that is inspect it before signing a bill of sale. But still, that doesn't negate his actions or make it better.

omg, on my local auction site russian leicas are more common that the real one. more, on weekly gear swap you can have every type of fake barnack you want. "oh is this fake?- no, its special version for u-boots" and noboty take it serious.

The engraving is truly awful. Anyway, why did someone feel the need to fake a Leica that has evidently been at the bottom of a swamp since 1935?
