I have this very lens and shutter, but mounted in another camera.
I don't quite understand the problem. Is the ring missing the detent so the ring will continue rotating until it will unscrew from the lens?. Does the lens focus as it should (i.e. the scale focussing is accurate)?

Yes the indent on the ring is there. I even added two spacers behind the back part of the lens to push it forward. I am checking the focus today.

Why yes Ma'am - it folds
I have a Perkeo II that is scaled in meters starting at 1 meter. Mine stops about a tad (just less than an 1/8") past the 1 meter mark. Which is probably .9 meters. I've taken mine apart to clean the inner elements and then re-aligned the focus when putting it back together. There is a stop to stop rotation at Infinity, it stops mine just past 1 meter and then stops it exactly at infinity. Checking my focusing ring at minimum focus compared to your photo, your focusing ring seems to be way extended. Especially since you can see behind the focusing ring
Unless I'm missing the mark with your question, I do not think the stop is actually designed to stop the focusing ring exactly at minimum focus distance, but should stop it at exactly at the the Infinity mark.

Thanks guys, found out the inner element needed to be screwed in a little more. Works perfect now.

That inner element that the outer focusing element screws into needs to be more than just screwed in a little more. It needs to be screwed down snug and tight. It shouldn't be able to be unscrewed by mere hand pressure.
