The Invisible Camera

The sad thing is thinking how many great cameras in collections will effectively take as many photos as the invisible camera.

Excellent production values BTW.

I am shocked! How can all of you put this down. I bet you are just afraid Leica won't license an adapter. I can't wait to get mine in the mail. I thought $200 for shipping charges was a little high though, even from Germany.

We''l have a whip round and send you one. Hope you can see it when it arrives.:D

We're pretty inventive in this country ... if it doesn't measure up as a picture taking device I may turn it into a bong!

I would buy one but I gave up film magazines long time ago. Moreover, even if I decided to get film again, my all-in-one HP scanner/printer doesn't have a directional sensitized film adapter (I had to choose between the adapter and the spare print cartridge and rationality won - it's tough to face those Media Markt guys!!!). I think I'll wait for a digital back...

That is, unless they replace the pinhole with some ultrafast exotic glass superzoom. Then I would buy one, even with the film magazine hassle.

BTW, this superzoom may be nearer than we think: a friend of mine is married to a girl that knows a dog owned by a guy that sells icecream near the Pentagon and he heard from a reliable source that Cosina may actually be working on this.

Word says Cosina was subcontracted by a consortium that includes Nikon, Canon, Lomo and Coca-Cola - apparently Coca-Cola is interested on this polarising effect to cool Coke without using ice, by simple reversal of the wave function, using a Shroedinger condenser together with a deltoid sustaining inverter on each can or bottle (cans are tougher to adapt because they are opaque but at least using this on bottles would be a major breakthrough).

This decision by Cosina was not very pacific inside the company, as they have invested a lot on regular film gear and heads may roll if the superzoom really makes it to the market. In the aftermath, it appears that Voigtlander may be spun-out, as managing styles seem unmixable, or even be victim of a hostile takeover by McDonalds.

Anyway, I registered to the field test, but under a fake identity.

It's called humour. Some people appreciate it. Some people don't. Some people just don't get it.

The video had you rolling in the aisles did it?

There are plenty of folks on the internet altering photos and making videos of hoax cameras. I don't see much humour in it and it seems an odd use of one's time.

Anyhow, carry on being amused. I don't begrudge you that.
