This hoax (it has to be a hoax) is becoming more elaborate. He's now posted the on line form on his site for people to participate in the 'field test!' Successful applicants will receive their invisible camera and 100 sheets of the specially treated directionally light sensitive film!

The form was added to the site on the 25th at 11.30am EDT and will be up for exactly a week we're told ... of course this means that the applications facility will close on April 1st! :D

I don't know where this is going and why he's gone to so much trouble ... but I have to admit he's doing it convincingly and I'm sure the applications for cameras and film will be rolling in from dewy eyed idealists around the globe who know no better.

I wonder what his star sign is though ... and how old he may be? :p

Right. I'm sure this is on the up-and-up. However, I think that the "Air-Lens" camera I've been secretly working on will outperform this thing. I can't reveal the details, but I can assure you guys that my lens, which has no glass--nothing at all-- in the light path, just a hollow tube, will revolutionize photography.

I shouldn't talk about it, but then again we are such a close fellowship. I think I can say that my air lens has an effective aperture of 1: 0.0000000000239. That beats a low-ISO camera any day.

More in 6 days or so.

I already got mine. I put it down over there... err, no, that's not it.... oh, there it is... damn, that is the trouble with this thing...

I'd love to know what his motivation is for doing this ... maybe he read somewhere that Germans don't actually have a sense of humour and he's trying to prove them wrong!

I'm actually looking forward to the 1st of April to see what his 'coup de grâce' may be? :D
