Given that the box sets a minimum amount of base per roll, does 1:100 development require a massive tank? I use a two real tank but am curious about ways to increase edge effects.

In my limited experience with rodinal (1:50), I found that developer quickly moved to the bottom of the tank as evidence by an unevenly developed area on the roll; I suspect my limited agitation wasn't enough or I should've put the loaded real on top. Anyhow, I'm just looking for insights.

Hello:
Controlled time/temperature development is often done with 2x volume Rodinol 1:100. For instance: a full two reel tank is used to develop a single loaded reel. This avoids incomplete development due to too little developer.
Stand development uses minimal developer and volume and development time is extended to exhaustion.
Rodinol is diluted and mixed just before being poured into the tank.
Your tank will determine the minimal volume for 1 roll of film, typically 250 - 300ml for 35mm and 400 - 500ml for 120.

I usually use 300 or 600ml water for 1 or 2 rolls respectively. Semi-stand (agitate every 3 minutes, for 30 minutes, these days), to avoid un-eveness.
If you do stand-development, the quantity of developer is more important than the dilution, 3ml per roll is a good bet, 4-5 if you want to push one stop.

hi. i routinely do 1:100 for 35 and 120 format in my 2 reel Paterson tank.
for 35 format, i usually use 3ml of rodinal with around 300ml of water. I try to avoid 2 rolls because the top roll could get uneven development. To minimize the unevenness of the top roll, I try to do an agitation in the middle of the development.
For 120 format, i use 5ml of syrup + aproximately 500ml of water.
Films I have had success consistently: XP-2, Tri-x, Fomapan, Plus-X.

This is very helpful advice.
My thinking, based on my last experience, was that I should put the loaded reel above an unloaded reel. I figured his would prevent the loaded real from being subject to uneven development due to developer settling at the bottom. I guess I will have to think about it differently.
I expect to be using this for Fuji 100 and 400 (my fomapan 200 + rodinal experiment wasn't up to snuff)

I just followed these instructions for my Neopan 100 and the negs look gorgeous. 3ml in 300ml inverting every 5 min for 30 min. I can't wait to scan them as they look perfect.

It's funny. I don't think these are particularly good pictures. However, when I reflect on why, I can't help thinking that on vacation I want to put open space on film because I experience it so rarely in Japan. ... So much of it in Australia, though.
I like this film with pyro, rodinal, or whatever. I'll be curious to try this semi-stand for the 400 presto next.
