Nice series. If I were you I'd probably have edited it down a bit. First to your favorite 10 and then your favorite 5, and then to your favorite 3. Makes for a tighter group of images.

I like 'Study and Watched' and '80s'. The first one I would have waited until the shot had cleaned up a bit, getting the walking dude and the left hand standing dude out of the frame. Maybe had went left a bit so all the students would've been looking away from the face more.
'80s' is just perfect as it is, nice and clean.
Most of the others don't do much for me, but I'm definitely a minority in this thread, so that's only me
I'd love to walk Chicago one day though, and have with interest read your post on the Vivian Maier exhib and your camera store visit!

Thanks Steelydam! Whenever I can afford to acquire some chemicals and paper, i'll*fire up my enlarger and send you a print. I don't know how soon this will be though. My wife landed an OB/GYN residency spot, so things will get better eventually.
Gbhill, I read your post aloud to my wife and we both got a good laugh over it! I've come to thr conclusion that I no longer have a beard. I have now reached the point where my beard has a human! My wife and my mom really hate my beard. It's all-encompassing. My philosophy is, if you have to trim/manicure/groom it, it ain't a beard. I maintain the rich tradition of viking's and sea captains everywhere. I spoke with my dad, and it turns out I do have a significant amount of Sweedish/Norse blood coursing through my veins. I've been compared to a German u-boat captain a few times, but never a Viking. I can dig it. We had no trouble whatsoever in Chicago. I attribute this to my looking potentially threatening and or homeless.
Arthur, thank you, I have a few more (I didn't like as well) but will try and post them at the end of this thread in a few days.
Again, thanks for the comments everyone, they're much appreciated. I do realize that many of the photos are not that impressive on a technical level - however I went ahead and posted too many rather than too few just because I love looking at other people's photographs. The criticisms have been appreciated as well.

My M5s need red dots!
Really nice job at capturing those rough views of the city. I am green with envy!
