My Rolleiflex E2 Planar has a UV filter on the lower taking lens, but it seems to block the possibility of putting a protective filter on the upper viewing lens. Is there a way to get a filter on this?

There is a place in South Korea that sells a machined Bay III filter-

I don't know anything about them beyond what you can see on the Ebay listings.
I bought a clear Bay III filter and used a Dremel to grind clearance for the lens hood. Not very difficult, and glass isn't hard to shape with the little sanding drums. It's not perfect but it keeps my fingers off the lens.

Why would you want to use a UV filter on the viewing lens? It's not necessary.

I do it because I like to put my camera in a case without removing the lens hood and digging out the lens cap when I am moving about. I have a cap I made that goes on the front of the lens hood. I have the clear glass on the viewing lens. I put it in its bag without worry about scratching either lens.
I know it's not necessary but it makes me more comfortable carrying the camera on the streets, etc., and is faster than removing the hood and attaching the folding cap.

Thanks for the link to the guy who makes custom filters. At least I can see how a filter could be modified for this fit. Why use a filter on the viewing lens? To protect it from scratches in the bag, and also rain. Lots of rain here in the Northwest and I like shooting in it.
