Brand New M8 Anti Panda

Browsing my local Leica Dealer I noticed they had a clearance sale on Leica M8's. As I looked at the stock I noticed this M8 that was a bit different. I thought it was a M8.2 but no M8.2 written on the hotshoe. Noticed it had a M8 covering versus the M8.2 covering and had silver dials. Well the price was pretty good so I bought this and found it is a anti panda. COOL.

Limited edition. Only 100 made for the whole world. Just before the 8.2. Mine cost the same as the plain jane black chrome. I liked the black paint much better. Had mine for two years now. I love it.

Next I might get LHSA or Millennium M6 to complete my setup. The black paint is definitely much nicer!

I've had mine for a little over two years. Had to return to Solms to take care of a sensor problem. The edges are starting to brass nicely. The anti-panda theme looks especially good with chrome lenses.

Hard to say, as I traded a whole bunch of stuff. I think Eli Kurland's price before the trades was about $3600, this at the time that the M8.2 had just come out. Same price as they were getting for plain M8's then.

I really hope mine doesnt develop a problem. Glad I have two year warranty.

I bought it for a little over 3Kusd in Bahrain =D. I dont know why everyone is scared of ISO 2500. I ran a test shot through Nik dfine 2.0 and cleaned up nicely. Kinda has a nikon grain to it. My 5d2 will only clean up nicely at 3200 and 6400 looks ok but not great. So far im loving this camera. Waiting for my IR filters, I noticed the blacks hitting magenta.

wow, nice! i'm having trouble finding a good used m8 in my local shops. some local guy just contact me awhile ago, i hope it is a good copy this time. i had to return one to a seller because of the blue vertical line issue. where are you located? They still have brand new M8 for sale in store?

the problem for me with ISO 2500 isn't the grain but the propensity to banding...
